Adult Lullaby

First of all, an Adult Lullaby is a restorative combination of beautiful sleep music and powerful delta waves. Delta waves were first discovered in the early 1900s after the invention of the electroencephalogram allowed researchers to look at brain activity during sleep. Furthermore, it was popularized more recently, as iDoser.com took the concept mainstream. During sleep, the brain cycles through a number of different stages. Consequently, these cycles are differentiated from each other by the brain activity that occurs during each stage.

During the initial phase of sleep, you are still awake and somewhat alert. Therefore, this is when you focus mostly on the music of the adult lullaby. At this point, beta waves are produced. Hence, the brain begins to slow down and alpha waves begin. Consequently, you will find yourself more focused on the powerful delta waves integrated into the adult lullaby. The sleep music continues. You synchronize with the delta waves and other frequencies being produced by the sleep music. Most noteworthy, a well-produced adult lullaby contains a complex combination of sleep music, delta waves, and other binaural beats to help reach REM sleep smoothly.

Stages of Sleep

You fall asleep to the adult lullaby and Stage 1 officially begins. Due to this, the brain creates slow, high amplitude activity known as theta waves. This stage is usually very brief, lasting around 10 minutes or so. In contrast, you then enter Stage 2, which is slightly longer at 20 minutes. This stage contains rapid bursts of rhythmic brain activity known as sleep spindles. The adult lullaby, playing peacefully during these stages, eases you through these transitions. The end goal of an adult lullaby, or any sleep music, is to enter a stage of pure delta waves. Therefore, Delta waves are our end-goal, so let’s focus on them…

Delta Waves

Once a person enters Stage 3 sleep, the brain begins to produce the slow and deep delta waves of delta sleep. Therefore, you completely synchronize with the delta waves produced by the adult lullaby sleep music. Delta waves sleep is a transitional point between light and deep sleep. Delta waves oscillate between 0 Hz and 4 Hz. They are the slowest brain waves that humans can produce. As a result, they typically form during the deepest stages of sleep, when an adult lullaby is most effective. Therefore, this is when sleep music really kicks in. What’s the purpose of delta waves?

Delta waves regulate unconscious bodily processes such as heart beat regulation, kidney functioning, and digestive functioning. Similarly, it is thought to help the body with healing. Having optimal delta wave functioning is very beneficial. Benefits include: getting a better night’s sleep, boosted immune system functioning, as well as increased empathy. Furthermore, Delta waves generate in the right hemisphere of the brain. They link to our subconscious and unconscious processes. As a result, this is why an adult lullaby is so beneficial. certainly, sleep music is a powerful addition to any mindfulness lifestyle.

Delta Waves Benefits

As we age delta waves activity becomes increasingly sparse, even during sleep. Likewise, while you are in a delta state of functioning, you have no conscious awareness. Delta waves are the lowest in regards to frequency, but are the highest in amplitude of all brain waves. Above all, they are involved in unconscious processes and help us get the deepest, most restorative sleep possible. Hence, this is why an adult lullaby or binaural sleep music is critical. Above all, Delta waves help restore the body and rejuvenate the mind. Delta waves are the brain waves that help restore your body back to its natural homeostasis. Now that you know how beneficial an adult lullaby is, what is sleep music and how do you get it?

Sleep Music

A well-produced adult lullaby has several functionating components. First of all, the sleep music must be light, airy, and meditative. Above all, you will be falling asleep to an adult lullaby, so the sleep music must not be loud, disruptive, or contain any interruptions. Even more, many of these are amateur and produced very quickly. Certainly iDoser.com originated the concept and tends to have the most effective technology, but there are many pure sources available with some searching.

Most noteworthy, an adult lullaby will contain binaural beats. Binaural beats are an auditory stimulus that influences the electrical activity of the brain. Because of this, an adult lullaby will integrate complex sequences of binaural beats, including delta waves, into the production of the sleep music. Because of this, it is a requirement that you have good stereo separation of the sleep music while listening to an adult lullaby. Above all, there should be decent separation for the delta waves to reach each ear. If you want to integrate headphones for optimal performance, check iDoserMerch.com for mindfulness approved sleep gear.

Sleep and Binaural Beats

Consequently, research has shown that when a person listens to quality binaural beats from a reputable source like iDoser, for a recommended time, their brainwaves respond. Researchers believe these changes occur because the binaural beats activate specific systems within the brain. Furthermore, an electroencephalogram (EEG) that recorded the electrical brain activity of people listening to binaural beats showed that the effect on a person’s body varied according to the frequency pattern used. Also, the purpose for using binaural beats therapy may differ between people. Some people may need help decreasing their anxiety. Likewise, others may want to increase their concentration or deepen their level of meditation and sleep. As a result, use an adult lullaby for many purposes.

It’s funny. I have a young daughter and have so many CDs of sleep music intended to help with brain activity. It never occurred to me that maybe I should be listening to something similar. I know the i-doser stuff has been around for a while. I agree the YT stuff can be pretty bad and sketch. Anybody have any other recommendations?

You will probably eventually graduate to pure binaural beats. It was really nice having binaural beats to music when I started. I switched to the beats without the music and I find it slightly more effective.

There is some ok youtube stuff out there if you search and know the creator is legit. It’s for sure though that so many of them are overseas spam channels just copying and pasting popular times to stock audio and making wild claims. I think youtube is cracking down on it though.

How about ASMR? I sleep to some ASMR. It probably doesn’t have all fancy brain health stuff but I really like it.

The concept of music that plays frequencies to help through the stages of sleep is interesting. I’ve been sleeping to rain and nature sounds or white noise for 30 years. Might be time I add in something new.
